ʼn Ordinance to continue the Hongkong & Shanghai Bank Ordin-

ince 1899.

(31st.July 1899).

Thereas it is expedient that the power of issuing bills and

notes in excess of its paid up capital was conferred for the

period of one year from the 31st.day of July 1898 and should

■ continued under the same conditions,for the period of one

year from the 31st.day of July 1899.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hongkong with the advice and

onsent of the Legislative Council thereof,as follows:-

(1) Mis Bill may be cited as the Hongkong & Shanghai Bank

Excess of Note Issue Ordinance 1899.

(2) All the provisions of section 3 of Ordinance 1 of 1899

are hereby continued for the period of one year from the

31st July 1899
